Smooth-strong
Scars:
An old spear wound at the left shoulder at the anterior deltoid. Various other little scars line him, with a few upon the left inner thigh.
Skills & Mastery(Combat):
Formally trained retainer. He excels with hand-to-hand, Fist-weapons, and subterfuge. Recently, he's been focusing on schools of magic, aetheric control of which he's proven to excel at as he's genuinely explorative or experimental with his combat arts.
Weaknesses(Combat):
Ransetsu cannot mend himself. High-pitched sound frequencies can cause disorientation and, if potent enough, deafness, further injury.
Trades:
Ransetsu enjoys writing. He has also been delving into gatherer trades such as fishing, botany, and mining.

A retainer of Doma and a survivor of the Garlean Occupation, this former-raised warrior now seeks a life beyond his upbringing, for everything after that life has become merely 'extra time.' He has trades to learn, folk to meet, ventures to take on, and suppers to create and eat. However, even in this 'civilian life,' the warborn Raen cannot escape his nature.Ransetsu has taken up work within the Maelstrom and works within the Grand Company, a squadie. Also, he is a frequenter of the Wolves Den for all the glory it brings and the release it provides for his warring mind, for seldom is it found outside of sellsword and monster hunting affairs. He is more known for his title within the combat sport of the Wolves Den as the 'Blue Oni' than any other pursuits, such as the tradecrafts he pursues. The fame and Gil it provides him is a double-sided blade, for he adores his warring arts but equally desires to be known for creation outside of destruction.Then, like a whisp, he was gone, a snuffed candle. Out of the spotlight, out of focus, gone from the Wolves Den, discharged from the Maelstrom, and departed from the Culinarian Guild. Friends about seldom heard from him, unknown folk leaving his beachfront home at odd night hours. A delve into the underground works now unseen.Ransetsu can now often be found at his home, seemingly without work or activities. But then, for long periods, he's gone, the lights of his home off for many moons before a light returns. Then, when he returns, he speaks as if he never left.

  • I only RP with people 21+.

  • I prefer para-writing. But I will also do 'flow' writing depending upon the scene's pacing. Sometimes snappy and concise is preferable for a given scene.

  • Preferred themes: Dark, angst, slice-of-life, romance, mystery, noir, horror, mature, combat-heavy adventure.

  • Ransetsu, as a character, delves into exceptionally dark territories. However, there are limitations to such RP as it will only happen with prior discussion with me. For other players, such aspects will be kept away from view.

Mina has been one of Ransetsu's confidants, one he goes to for the processing of his current state. Twice, she has provided him guidance and many other times one to listen to him. She has aided him in his navigation of the organization 'Naraku', and in turn, he provides her with information she may find useful. She is also one of the few who knows of Ran's favorite drinks.

One of the few Ransetsu looks to and describes as a 'beacon of heroics in the realm.' Watching over Villi from the shadows was one of the last requests Teruuji Kazarisho gave Ransetsu. Ransetsu follows such dutifully and has thrice aided Villi from the shadows. One day, he hopes to meet this one face-to-face when he feels he is someone of Villi's stature, and, worthy.

Ransetsu and Knox met within a Free Company that tried to have the lad killed. Ransetsu aided Knox, faking his death. However, the Raen found himself forming a strange, twisted bond with this 'little shit'. Often, the Raen has become both Knox's shield and Knox's villain, constantly pulling him out of trouble but equally tossing him back into the cauldron of conflict.

A dark 'Lordling' that Ransetsu was initially sent after for their vast arrays of cruelties and crimes. Alas, the Raen chose to make them a personal project instead, as he was infinitely curious about Cassius' paradoxical existence. Cassius is now one of Ransetsu's handlers, giving out some of the most depraved missions to the point where Ransetsu questions his own freedom and the work this little monster prescribes.

(FC AU)Zultanite 'Zultan' is Ransetsu's CEO of O.S Solutions. The two met on jagged terms, but over time, Raen submitted to retainership and an eventual leadership role within his organization. Within O.S., Zul's words are law, and he is a 'God,' and Ran, without question, enacts this shadowy man's will.

Ransetsu met Aurora during a covert venture, delving into a cult known as 'The Black Lotus.' Auroa was a captive within the organization. The two bonded quickly, and when the organization was dismantled, their bond rekindled when Ransetsu reunited with her at a mutual organization known as 'The Dealers'. The two can often be found trying spicy cuisine or battling ferocious beasts on hunts.

One of Ransetsu's handlers, well, more accurately, a manager of the retainer, Dhegi aids Ransetsu in the navigation of the organization 'Naraku' and its ways. Even after his recent promotion and placement under another handler he often still showers her with little treasures, gifts from ventures he's sent on. The looming Ransetsu tries to be a calming presence for the anxious Dhegi and shows his loyalty towards the hand that metaphorically feeds him.

A friend met and established when she provided him a harrowing venture. Outside of the adventures she provides Ransetsu, the two have bonded over sharing books and oddly grim topics of life, purpose, and meaning. The two also often go to tea cafes to rant.

Millie Lottie

A bond formed in blood, Millie brought Ransetsu out of his muted state and reawakened his path. She is also one of his work handlers. Millie was the one who convinced Ransetsu to cease avoiding the shadow of his psyche. Now, the two often can be seen tackling work together, expanding their arts, and delving into the fruits it brings.

Devi Nathwani

The newest member of Ransetsu's Wayward Company, Devi brings spice and a curious case of weakened aether. A puzzle for him and his crew to solve. Devi and Ran often can be seen cooking together to feed the others before they go on ventures. If not that, the two can be seen venturing about Limsa Lominsa's countryside.

The Wayward

A small company originally formed under Teruuji Kazarisho until he retired, the group now works loosely under Ransetsu as he provides them ventures and minor tasks to handle. Outside of such, he feeds and provides them homes and a found family.
